Sie wird nicht dem Vater der Braut, sondern der Braut selbst gegeben. In den meisten Fällen ist sie materieller Art, kann aber durchaus auch ideellen Wert besitzen. Der Islam gewährt der muslimischen Frau das Recht, von ihrem zukünftigen Ehemann diese sog. Brautgabe zu verlangen, deren Höhe sie selbst festlegen und über die sie frei verfügen kann. Dabei sollte die Frau natürlich die finanzielle Situation des Mannes berücksichtigen. Selbst im Falle einer Scheidung hat der Mann kein Recht darauf, die Brautgabe zurückzufordern. Und gebt den Frauen ihre Morgengabe als Geschenk. On the stage behind an artist is painting a picture during the event. He is painting a picture wich reflects the sad reality: a caricature of Assad with a barrel-shaped head. On the right it is written in Arabic „barrelhead mentality". Two sculptures are located on each side of the picture, colored human hands, each six-foot high. On the back of the stage, the idea of the event is explained: „Arts against destitution. Please donate for the syrian children." During the event, children, who are passing by are encouraged to paint pictures themselves or write down messages for syrian children. Thereby the adults in the shopping street are also attracted. A lot of them are going to donate and receiving accessories (e.g. bracelet) or balloons in the colores of the revolution in return. They donate money to a registered association for a specified aid project, that we inform them in leaflets and flyers about. We informing about how to sponsor syrian orphans and we are collecting signatures in Munich - as well as in other cities worldwide, to present them to the responsible politicians. We are also informing about besieged cities in Syria, we are informing the people passing by especially about besieged areas near Damascus, moreover we give background information on the Syrian revolution and the actual conditions. The informations are introduced by a trumpet player to call the attention of the people. After a variety of musical performances, from soul music, classical singing to bavarian folk music it is getting dark and to finish the event we're lighting candles on the ground. We didn't invent these political actions, they were carried out like this (or similar) in Syria before by groups or individuals. We were part of a worldwide action: Day of solidarity with the Syrian revolution to regain freedom and human dignity. HutaafElhurriyyeh Munich is aiming to point out that the revolution is also about art, creativity and thinking. One last thing for your encouragement to conduct a similar event: we raised 3254,07 Euro. We are the voice of the oppressed and starved! Mitten im Zentrum von München steht ein Fass, daneben sind Hefte, Kinderspielzeuge und Anderes verstreut auf dem Boden. Auf der Bühne dahinter hat ein Maler während der Veranstaltung gemalt. Er hat ein Bild geschaffen, dass die traurige Realität reflektiert: eine Karikatur von Assad mit seinem Kopf in Form eines Fasses. Daneben steht auf Arabisch "Fasskopf-Mentalität". Daneben stehen zwei Skulpturen, zwei mannshohe Hände, bunt bemalt. Auf der Rückwand der Bühne wird die Idee der Veranstaltung erklärt und zwar: "Kunst gegen die Not. Bitte spenden Sie für syrische Kinder." Während dies auf der Bühne passiert, werden vorbeigehende Kinder ermutigt, selbst Vorort zu malen oder Botschaften an syrische Kinder zu verfassen. Durch die Aktion werden Passanten in der Einkaufsstraße angezogen, die dann das Plakat lesen, „wir sind die Stimme der Unterdrückten und Hungernden". Viele dieser Passanten werden daraufhin Spenden und kriegen dafür Accessoires (z.B. Armbänder) und Luftballone in den Farben der Revolution. Sie spenden einem eingetragenen Verein für ein konkretes Hilfsprojekt, über das Prospekte und anderes Material informiert. Wir bieten auch Infos über Patenschaften für syrische Waisenkindern und wir sammeln auch hier in München - wie in vielen Städten weltweit - Unterschriften, um sie Politikern vorzulegen. Außerdem informieren wir über belagerte Orte in Syrien, wir haben die Passanten in München speziell über Orte im Umland von Damaskus informiert, darüber hinaus über die Hintergründe der Revolution und die tatsächlichen Verhältnisse in Syrien. Die Zuschauer werden mit Trompetenklängen auf diese „Infoblöcke" aufmerksam gemacht. Nach verschiedenen musikalischen Darbietungen von Soulmusic über klassischen Gesang bis zur deutschen Folklore, wird es Dunkel und wir zünden zum Ausklang der Veranstaltung Kerzen auf dem Boden an. Wir haben diese Aktionsformen nicht erfunden - sie werden so oder ähnlich auch in Syrien selbst angewendet. Wir waren ein Teil einer weltweiten Aktion: Solidaritätstag mit der syrischen Revolution zur Wiedererlangung der Freiheit und der Menschenwürde.
