Das Minarett dieses Gotteshauses ist immerhin 210 Meter hoch und damit höchstes religiöses Gebäude der Welt. Auch dieses Minarett ist eindrucksvoll mit mächtigen Goldkugeln verziert - die schwerste dieser drei Kugeln hat einen Durchmesser von immerhin knapp vier Metern. Auf das Minarett selbst gelangen Besucher bequem mit dem Aufzug - oben angekommen, bietet sich ein traumhafter Panoramablick bis hin zum Atlantik. Auch der Innenraum der Hassan-II.-Moschee ist wahrlich imposant und beeindruckend. Hier sprechen die Zahlen für sich: immerhin 124 Brunnen und 25.000 Säulen verzieren den Innenbereich der Moschee. Fertiggestellt wurde die Moschee erst im Jahr 1993 - zum Geburtstag des Propheten Mohammed. Errichtet wurde diese Moschee auf den Klippen über dem Meer. Ein Laserstrahl zeigt von der Moschee aus direkt zur Moschee nach Mekka, dem größten Gotteshaus der Welt. Die Hassan-II.-Moschee ist jedoch nicht nur ein Bauwerk für sich, vielmehr umfasst der gesamte Bereich der Moschee eine Fläche von immerhin neun Hektar - sowohl eine Islamische Schule als auch ein Schwimmbad, Hammams und ein Museum der marokkanischen Geschichte befinden sich auf diesem Areal.     Blick in den Hof der Moschee Hassan II ..... Die größte Sehenswürdigkeit Casablancas ist ohne Zweifel die Moschee Hassan II, die zweitgrößte Moschee und das höchste Gotteshaus der Welt. Sie fasst über 100.000 Gläubige - 20.000 im Innenraum und 80.000 auf dem großen Vorplatz. 90 Ingenieure und 30.000 marokkanische Handwerker arbeiteten sieben Jahre lang an der Errichtung des Monumentalbaus am Ufer des Atlantik. Die gigantische Anlage umfasst nicht nur Gebetsräume, sondern auch viele weltliche Einrichtungen: Konferenzräume, Hammam und Museum. Die Moschee Hassan II. verbindet Religiosität und Weltoffenheit, traditionelles Kunsthandwerk und neueste Technik: Die Bibliothek steht über Satellit mit den größten Bibliotheken der Welt in Verbindung. Das 1.100 Tonnen schwere Dach lässt sich in fünf Minuten öffnen. Und ein Laserstrahl weist von der Kuppel des Minaretts nach Mekka. Als einzige Moschee in Marokko steht die Moschee Hassan II auch Nicht-Muslimen offen. Sie kann täglich außer Freitags (dem muslimischen Feiertag) von Menschen aller Religionen im Rahmen von Führungen besichtigt werden. Um 9.00, 10.00, 11.00, 14.00 (Sept. bis Juni) bzw. 14.30 (Juli/August). Achtung: die normalen Öffnungszeiten können im Ramadan variieren.     In honor of the loss of life in the tragedy of Pearl Harbor and our ensuing carnage with Japan, I have updated my Facebook Political Views section: The current world order is largely controlled by a corporate consortium that bends national political processes to its will in democratic countries whose governments barely regulate their means of production and profit procurement. This is not done by conspiracy en mass, but history has multitudes of banking, political, and covert action military scenarios created largely for economic and geopolitical gain by conspiracy in isolated but related cases. These events have only benefited corporate interests whilst largely sacrificing millions of lives and the comfort and security of the citizenry, whilst destabilizing the economy of the working class, and the environment--as well as the peace of the world in modern examples. Needless to say, these events and the corporate consortiums they benefit undermine our democracies and our lives. December 7, 1941 holds a classic example of the result of a covert government conspiracy to launch America into war with Germany by way of provoking Japan, to refer to only one of them. In such a ways this corporate consortium, or "college", as it is described in the movie "Network", and referenced in Zeitgeist Movie, pretends to secure liberty, national, economic, and environmental stability. The coporations' owners, who control our elections and the idiotstream media maintain a stranglehold on our economy and the flow of information in such media--and thus they control and undermine our democracies--leaving in only a fascist corporateocracy behind, in reality. The way to free ourselves from this is to: 1. Demand our elected officials ban private money in elections. 2. Private non-profit news and educational media (like PBS) need to be tax-exempt, and free of a need to be funded by corporate giants that rape the planet and destroy our health, such as petrochemical and pharmaceutical companies who make donations to non-profit ed and news media for tax write-offs and to hide their corrupt, morally bankrupt and rapist practices. 2. Short of the accomplishment of point 1., we would need to dismantle our government, or completely revolutionize its structure, because as it stands now, the EPA, FDA, DOD, DOE, FCC, FAA, FBI, CIA, NSA, NTSB, NIH, FTT, and other agencies of the federal government are all defaulting the public trust, subverting their mandates, and thus becoming more and more a threat (even as they try at a snail's pace to do good) to our liberties and our health; because... A. Our political elections are auctions and our Supreme Court is stacked. This means our representation is no representation at all and favors a select few in positions of financial power to influence our elected officials through campaign finance and gifts. This is a violation of the Constitution because it subverts the basic tenet of the document which outlines representation. B. Our president is a figurehead whose leadership is often stymied by treasonous and time-wasting obfuscation by his opposition party in one or both houses of the Congress. This is--besides being a spiritual contravention of the mandate of representation, again--an actual example of treason--as it is a manifestation of willful defiance and suppression of law, as evident in the Republican efforts to derail the Affordable Care Act and the President and congress--finally resulting in the shutting down of our government and costing the tax-payer nearly 29 million dollars. C. The Federal Reserve Bank is a non-governmental cartel run by lawless investors who loan money to our government that the tax-payer has to pay back the interest on, whilst there is no commodity or hard value backing up those loans in the first place, so its owners make profit on nothing invested whilst keeping the nation in debt. D. The owners of The Federal Reserve Bank rig financial crises (Like the 1929 stock market crash) to manipulate the economy for their benefit, at the expense of investors and the tax-paying citizenry which loses its savings and investments in such crises and in bank closures and investment scandals such as the Wall Street Prime Loan Scandal. E. The Federal Reserve Bank also causes the investor and tax paying working class to suffer in inflationary and recessionary events that make his financial, work, and quality of life conditions less predictable than the wealthier bank and financial institution owners and industrialists, unless he is an elected official or a professional himself. F. War is used to stimulate the economy, which the middle class pays for in taxes by military industrial welfare at exorbitant contractor prices, and which the working class and poor have to fight and get maimed and killed in--often coming home to horrendously low quality medical care and lives of suffering. 3. The saving of the biosphere which sustains all life on Earth including ours, the survival of the human species, and the improvement of the human condition for all people (not just the rich 1% of the population which controls 40% of the wealth, or the working class), including the poor and those in under-developed countries must become the priority of all of us and our governments. 4. Making energy, industrial, and food production policy sustainable, Earth-friendly, and based on democratic systems of government--instead of being based on fascist ones that only look democratic (what we have now), will solve the environmental crisis because this kind of focus is the only way of ensuring the stoppage of the current economic system and the current energy, war, and food & industrial production system that is destroying the biosphere and our freedoms.     Hadis Sahih Muslim No. 0952 Jilid 2 Topik adalah Zakat 952. Dari Anas bin Malik r.a., katanya: "Abu Thalhah adalah orang Ansar terkaya di Madinah. Dan harta yang paling disukainya ialah sebuah taman yang dinamainya 'Bairaha' yang letaknya berhadapan dengan masjid. Rasulullah saw. pernah masuk ke dalam taman itu dan meminum air yang terdapat di dalamnya, yang ternyata manis. Kata Anas selanjutnya, "Ketika turun ayat: "Sekali-kali kamu tidak dapat mencapai kebajikan (yang sempurna), sehingga kamu nafkahkan sebahagian harta mu yang kamu cintai (Al Imran : 92). Maka Abu Thalhah pergi menemui Rasulullah saw. seraya berkata: "Sesungguhnya Allah telah berfirman di dalam KitabNya: Sekali-kali kamu tidak dapat mencapai kebajikan (yang sempurna) sehingga kamu nafkahkan sebahagian harta mu yang kamu cintai. Maka hartaku yang paling ku cintai ialah 'Taman Bairaha'. Mulai saat ini taman itu aku sedekahkan kerana Allah, di mana aku mengharapkan pahala dan tabungan di sisi Allah. Kerana itu manfaatkanlah taman itu sesuai dengan kepentingan anda, ya Rasulullah." Sabda RasuluUah saw., "Wah! Harta yang sangat menguntungkan. Harta yang betul-betul menguntungkan. Aku telah mendengar apa yang kamu ucapkan mengenai harta itu. Namun aku berpendapat, sebaiknyalah taman itu kamu bagi-bagikan kepada keluargamu yang terdekat." Lalu Abu Thalhah membahagi-bahagikan tamannya itu kepada keluarga-keluarganya yang dekat, termasuk anak-anak pakciknya."
     
     
    1. Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 2. This is the Book (the Qur'an), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. 3. Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend out of what we have provided for them [i.e. give Zakat , spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allah's Cause - Jihad, etc.]. 4. And who believe in (the Qur'an and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him ) and in [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before you and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.). 5. They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. 6. Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe. 7. Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, (i.e. they are closed from accepting Allah's Guidance), and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment. 8. And of mankind, there are some (hypocrites) who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day" while in fact they believe not. 9. They (think to) deceive Allah and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not! 10. In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and Allah has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies. 11. And when it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "We are only peacemakers." 12. Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not. 13. And when it is said to them (hypocrites): "Believe as the people (followers of Muhammad Peace be upon him , Al-Ansar and Al- Muhajirun) have believed," they say: "Shall we believe as the fools have believed?" Verily, they are the fools, but they know not. 14. And when they meet those who believe, they say: "We believe," but when they are alone with their Shayatin (devils - polytheists, hypocrites, etc.), they say: "Truly, we are with you; verily, we were but mocking." 15. Allah mocks at them and gives them increase in their wrong- doings to wander blindly. 16. These are they who have purchased error for guidance, so their commerce was profitless. And they were not guided. 17. Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindled a fire; then, when it lighted all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness. (So) they could not see. 18. They are deaf, dumb, and blind, so they return not (to the Right Path).

    RUKUN ISLAM ALA MUHAMMAD Dalam Islam terdapat 5 kewajiban utama muslim, yang dikenal dengan rukun Islam. Dari manakah Muhammad mendapat gagasan rukun islam ini? Setelah melihat kenyataan asal usul dari kelima rukun Islam ini, kami menjadi begitu kasihan terhadap saudara2 kami yang telah dibohongi Muhammad habis2an. Bahkan ibadah haji yang merupakan rukun islam terakhir tak lain hanyalah upacara penyembahan berhala yang dilakukan nenek moyang Muhammad. Ibadah berhala ini dipoles sedemikian rupa agar terkesan lebih islami! Mari kita telaah satu persatu rukun islam tersebut. SHAHADAT Shahadah adalah pengucapan kalimat "La-ilaha il-lallahu Muhammadu'r-Rasulu'llah" yang artinya adalah "Tiada Tuhan selain Allah, dan Muhammad adalah Rasul Allah." Kalimat yang menyatakan keesaan Tuhan dan kerasulan Muhammad ini berulang kali dinyatakan dalam Quran. Lihat ayat2 ini: QS 2:158, QS 3:1,4,16; QS 4:89,169, dll Sekarang dari mana Muhammad dapat gagasan pengucapan kalimat seperti itu? Silakan buka buku sejarah Islam tertua Sirat Rasul Allah karangan Ibn Ishaq dan diedit oleh Ibn Hisham, edisi Mesir, bagian pertama, hal. 27 dan 28. Di buku itu tertulis bahwa kaum Arab pagan Quraish (suku Muhammad sendiri di Mekah) di jaman pra-Islam, biasa mengadakan ibadah agama yang dinamakan Ihlal dan mereka pun mengucapkan kalimat yang menyatakan keesaan Tuhan yang berbunyi: "Labbaika, Allahumma: Kami datang ke hadiratMu, wahai Tuhan; kami datang ke hadiratMu. Kau tidak berpasangan, kecuali pasangan yang ada padaMu; Kau memilikinya dan apapun yang dia miliki." Kalimat atau pengakuan agama ini mirip dengan kalimat pertama Shahada (tiada Tuhan selain Allah) dan kalimat ini sudah sering diucapkan bangsa Arab ratusan tahun sebelum Muhammad lahir. Meskipun Quraish beragama pagan dan menyembah banyak dewa, tapi mereka percaya akan ketunggalan Tuhan utama mereka yakni Allah Ta-ala sang dewa Bulan. Dewa Bulan ini adalah Tuhan yang Maha Kuasa bagi pagan Quraish. Wahb 'ibn Munabbih (meninggal 728 / 732 M) yang berasal dari Irak menulis, bahwa orang Sabean percaya "Tidak Ada Tuhan Selain Allah" dan mereka tidak memiliki hukum kanonik. (Sinasi Gunduz, The Knowledge of Life, Journal of Semitic Studies, Oxford University Press Oct 1994, halaman 23 dan 25) Kalimat serupa juga diucapkan kaum Yahudi dalam upacara agama Yudaisme. Kalimat ini disebut sebagai "Shema" dan dimulai seperti ini: "Dengar wahai Israel, Tuhan kita adalah Esa" Kalimat ini diulang setiap hari oleh kaum Yahudi. Bagian pertama Talmud berisi diskusi tentang kalimat ini. (1 Deut. vi. 4; Berakhoth fols. 2a-13a; vide ante, p. 28.). Kalimat shahadat atau tayyaba ini pertama kali diucapkan oleh Khadijah, istri pertama Muhammad. Khadijah menyemangati Muhammad yang disebutnya sebagai nabi sesuai dengan apa yang direncanakan dirinya dan Waraqah. (Khalid Latif Gauba, The Prophet of the Desert, hal 33). Sudah jelas kalimat pertama Shahadat diambil dari tradisi agama pagan Quraish, Sabean dan agama Yudaisme kaum Yahudi. Sedangkan kalimat kedua adalah karangan Khadijah sendiri. Kalimat ini amat menyenangkan hati Muhammad yang memang haus pemujaan. Oleh karenanya ia juga mewajibkan pengikutnya untuk mengucapkan kalimat tersebut. SHALAT Ibadah shalat merupakan kewajiban bagi Muslim karena ditulis di Quran dan dengan begitu diperintahkan oleh Tuhan. Ibadah shalat harus diucapkan dalam bahasa Arab, tidak boleh dalam bahasa Indonesia. Selain lima kali sehari, ada tiga kali lagi ibadah sembahyang yang dapat dilakukan, meskipun bukan kewajiban ('nafl) dan tidak dianggap dosa jika tidak dilakukan. Shalat sukarela ini disebut sebagai Salatu'l-'Ishraq, setelah matahari terbit; Salatu'd-Duha sekitar jam 1 siang; and Salatu't-Tahajjud, setelah jam 12 malam. Tentang nafl bisa dibaca keterangannya di Hadis Sahih Bukhari vol. 1, hal. 4. Selain salat setiap hari, para Muslim pun hari melakukan Salatu'l-Jum'a (Sembahyang Jum'at) dan ini dinyatakan di Qur'an dalam Suratu'l-Jumu'a 62: 9 Selain itu masih ada beberapa Salat yang lain yakni: Salatul-Musafir yakni sembahyang bagi yang melakukan perjalanan Salatu'l-Khauf yakni sembahyang untuk mengatasi takut (QS 4:102-3.) Salatu'l-Janaza yakni sembahyang untuk menguburkan jenazah Salatu'l-Istikhara yakni sembahyang untuk dapat bimbingan sebelum melakukan pekerjaan penting Salatu't-Tauba yakni sembahyang untuk minta ampun (Suratu Ali 'Imran (iii) 129, 130) Masih ada pula Salatu'l-Kusuf, 2 rak'at waktu gerhana matahari, Salatu'l-Khusuf, 2 rak'at waktu gerhana bulan; Salatu'l-Istisqa' yakni salat di musim kemarau; dan Salatu'l-Tarawih, 20 ra'kat setiap malam di bulan Ramadan. Sekarang pertanyaannya dari mana Muhammad mengarang kewajiban sembahyang lima kali sehari? Muhammad banyak berhubungan dengan kaum Yahudi di masa awal dirinya merasa jadi nabi. Pada saat itu, di Mekah, hubungan Muhammad dan kaum Yahudi masih dalam taraf damai. Musuhnya pada saat itu baru satu yakni kaum pagan Quraish. Dia sengaja berbaik-baikan, agar diakui sebagai nabi baru oleh kaum Yahudi. Baca sendiri ayat2 Quran awal tentang pujian2 Muhammad terhadap orang2 Kitab (Yahudi, Nasrani, Sabean). Pujian2 ini nantinya digantinya sendiri dengan caci maki, kutuk, ancaman neraka, bahkan tuduhan tanpa bukti memalsu kitab suci sendiri terhadap orang2 Kitab dalam ayat2 Medinah. Semuanya ini terjadi karena tiada orang2 Kitab yang cukup sinting untuk percaya akan kenabian Muhammad. Dalam usahanya memupuk hubungan baik, dia pun tak segan2 mencontek tata cara ibadah dan jumlah sembahyang dalam Yudaisme dan diterapkannya dalam agama baru ciptaannya sendiri. Dalam Surat Hud (11) ayat 116 (masa akhir Mekah), Muhammad berkata: Dan dirikanlah sembahyang (wahai Muhammad, engkau dan umatmu), pada dua bahagian siang (pagi dan petang) dan pada waktu-waktu yang berhampiran dengannya dari waktu malam. Dalam Suratu'l-Qaf (50) ayat 39,40 (masa awal Mekah) dinyatakan pula: (39) … bertasbihlah sambil memuji Tuhanmu (terutama) sebelum terbit matahari dan sebelum matahari terbenam. (40) Serta bertasbihlah kepadaNya pada malam hari dan sesudah mengerjakan sembahyang. Dalam Suratu Bani Isra'il (17) ayat 79 (masa awal Mekah) dinyatakan: Dan bangunlah pada sebahagian dari waktu malam serta kerjakanlah sembahyang tahajud padanya, sebagai sembahyang tambahan bagimu; semoga Tuhanmu membangkit dan menempatkanmu pada hari akhirat di tempat yang terpuji Ayat2 di atas (11:116; 50:39,40; 17:79) menyatakan perintah sembahyang 3 kali sehari. Jelas sudah bahwa Muhammad mencontek agama Yudaisme, karena hal ini sama persis dengan jumlah ibadah sembahyang per hari yang dinyatakan di Kitab Perjanjian Lama dan buku Talmud Yahudi. Silakan buka Daniel 6:11 dari Perjanjian Lama. Di ayat itu dinyatakan bahwa meskipun dilarang oleh Raja Babilonia, Daniel tetap sembahyang: Dalam kamar atasnya ada tingkap-tingkap yang terbuka ke arah Yerusalem; tiga kali sehari ia berlutut, berdoa serta memuji Allahnya, seperti yang biasa dilakukannya. Dalam Kitab Mazmur, Daud berkata: Pada malam hari, pagi hari, dan siang hari, aku akan berdoa dan menangis keras. Perintah sembahyang 3 kali sehari juga dinyatakan dalam Talmud Berakhoth, (bagian dari Talmud Yerusalem) fol. 7b, kolom 1: Dari manakah mereka (kakek moyang Yahudi) mengetahui perintah sembahyang tiga kali? Mereka melakukan sembahyang tiga kali sehari …pagi…siang hari…malam hari… Yehoshuah ben Levi berkata: "mereka tahu (sembahyang tiga kali sehari) dari kakek moyang mereka … Abraham… Ishak… Yakub." "Sumpah puasa...harus diucapkan setiap kali sembahyang (malam, pagi, dan siang hari)." Terdapat pula keterangan yang sama dalam kitab Apocrypha (1 Esdras v. 50; Judith ix. 1; xi. 17; xii. 6-8 ) tentang ibadah sembahyang untuk pembakaran korban (binatang) di malam dan pagi hari. Tapi di ayat2 Quran di masa berikutnya, Muhammad menambah jumlah waktu sembahyang yang harus dilakukan Muslim setiap hari. Hal ini terjadi setelah dia mengaku pergi ke surga (Isra Mi'raj) dan katanya Allah memerintahkannya sembahyang lima kali sehari. Silakan baca Suratu'r-Rum (30) 17, 18, (17) Setelah kamu mengetahui yang demikian) maka bertasbihlah kepada Allah semasa kamu berada pada waktu malam dan semasa kamu berada pada waktu Subuh. [18] Serta pujilah Allah yang berhak menerima segala puji (dari sekalian makhlukNya) di langit dan di bumi dan juga (bertasbihlah kepadaNya serta pujilah Dia) pada waktu petang dan semasa kamu berada pada waktu Zuhur Juga sembahyang 4 kali sehari di Suratu Ta Ha (20) 130 Oleh itu, bersabarlah engkau (wahai Muhammad) akan apa yang mereka katakan dan beribadatlah dengan memuji Tuhanmu sebelum matahari terbit dan sebelum terbenamnya dan beribadatlah pada saat-saat dari waktu malam dan pada sebelah-sebelah siang; supaya engkau reda (dengan mendapat sebaik-baik balasan). Jadi pertama-tama Muhammad memerintahkan sembahyang 3 kali sehari, lalu 4 kali sehari dan diganti lagi jadi 5 kali sehari. Jika sembahyang 3 kali sehari merupakan gagasan dari agama Yudaisme (Yahudi), maka dari manakah gagasan sembahyang 5 kali sehari? Jawabannya bisa dilihat dari agama Sabean yang dianut masyarakat Arabia di masa pra Islam. Penulis Arab bernama Abu'l-Fida dalam bukunya yang berjudul At-Tawarikhu'l-Qadimah (History, Ante-Islamica), hal 148, mengutip pernyataan penulis Arab kuno brenama Abu 'Isa'l-Maghribi sebagai berikut: Kaum Sabian melakukan ibadah tertentu, yang antara lain adalah tujuh kali sembahyang, dan lima kali dari tujuh kali sembahyang itu sama pula dengan yang dilakukan para Muslim. Sembahyang keenam adalah sembahyang subuh, dan sembahyang ke tujuh dilakukan pada akhir jam keenam malam hari… Tata cara sembahyang mereka, sama seperti kaum Muslim, membutuhkan ketulusan hati dan perhatian khusuk sewaktu melakukannya. Mereka sembahyang bagi orang mati tanpa membungkuk atau bersimpuh. Jika Muslim melakukan sembahyang nafl (tak wajib), maka genap sudah sembahyang 7 kali sehari, persis seperti yang dilakukan kaum Sabean. Pernyataan Abu

    The mujahideen are doing all they can, they are fighting like lions, they have stopped massacres from happening elsewhere - but they are fighting against Assad's forces, Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Hezbollah, Iraqi militias, Yemenis, Russians, Afghan Shiaa...Assad has warplanes, helicopter gunships, ballistic missiles, surface-to-surface missiles, tanks, heavy artillery. The opposition have some guns and whatever they can take from regime arsenals - many are making their own weapons. And the world is green-lighting this; the opposition are always described as"terrorists," but Assad's forces are never described that way (and his mercenaries aren't prevented from travelling to Syria from across the region and the world).

    No matter how beautiful the world may appear to be surrounding us, we should not let this deceive us to make us think that the whole world is peaceful. We will never forget Syria and the pain they go through at the hands of the Tyrant Bashar.     Bush & Obama's extraordinary radical achievements in Iraq?


    Killed 1,455,590 Iraqis and 4,801 Americans, rendered two million Iraqi widows, five million orphans, raped thousands of women, destroyed infrastructure, law and order collapsed, quarter of the population lives in extreme poverty and the once almost developed country pushed back to stone age. The wars cost U.S. taxpayers around $4 trillion- $ 80 billion a year over a period of 50 years. This comes at a time when around 65 million Americans survive on food stamps.


    The US President Barack Obama described the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq as "extraordinary achievement" and mission accomplished". Reality is that this was a shameful defeat for America. Obama is leaving behind thousands of armed U.S. private contractors and the potential for violence is real. According to some reports the withdrawal was to clear the Iraqi airspace for Israel to launch a military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.

    The question is what was America's mission in Iraq and what did they accomplish? Iraq, a land where many great ancient civilisations such as Mesopotamia, Sumer, Akkad, Babylonian and Assyria flourished between the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers for more than 7,000 years, has been ruthlessly raped and ravaged for more than a century by the European colonial powers, especially Britain followed by the United States to loot its oil wealth.

    Following the US engineered Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990, Iraqis were subjected to untold misery and hardships with more than one-third of the population exposed to malnutrition, epidemics, and miscarriages and declining life expectancy. The UN sanctions killed more than 500,000 children.

    It was under this circumstance that President George Bush Jr invaded Iraq in March 2003 under the false pretext of eliminating the nonexistent weapons of mass destruction. According to US media reports, Bush and his team of neo cons had planned a regime change in Iraq even before assuming office. Ex-UN weapons inspector Hans Blix described this as an 'illegal' war.

    The American forces indiscriminately bombed Iraqi cities with unprecedented intensity and within days the war battered people were once again deprived of water, electricity, medicine, food and even shelter. Day in and day out the skies over Iraq rained bombs which shook the earth and relegated once thriving cities into bloody human abattoirs. Child survivors, many of them maimed for life, remained haunted by the nightmare of the gruesome catastrophe. Screaming in fear and panic, they simply could not comprehend why they were being subjected to such horror and heartlessness.

    Then there emerged shocking pictures of American troops' gang-raping Iraqi women. These hapless women were forcibly dragged out of their homes, screaming in terror, stripped naked and gang-raped by the very people who had ostensibly been there to protect them. Nonetheless, such criminal depravity had been committed by so-called civilised uniformed personnel representing the most powerful military nation on earth.

    Among the victims, were ordinary housewives, mothers and daughters – all brought up in a decently conservative society and whose religious traditions have always valued feminine purity as a prerequisite for a happily wedded life? Did the Americans who perpetrated these appalling crimes ever stop to wonder that their victims were the same kind of women as their mothers and sisters at home?

    Hundreds of thousands of innocent men and women were arbitrarily arrested and subjected to the most sadistic and savage forms of torture, which brought swift condemnation from all over the world.

    The US forces used the most vicious interrogation techniques including hooding, stripping detainees naked, subjecting them to extremes of heat, cold, noise and light, and depriving them of sleep – in violation of the Geneva Conventions and the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. This heartless routine that included infliction of pain, discomfort and humiliation has expanded in all too many cases into vicious beatings, sexual degradation, sodomy, electrocution, near drowning, and near asphyxiation. Several detainees had died under questionable circumstances while in incarceration.

    Obviously, these bestial crimes were kept under wraps until Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a series of exposé articles illustrated by damning photos of the torture by US military police of prisoners in the Iraqi prison of Abu Ghraib near Baghdad.

    It all started with a few disturbing pictures of naked prisoners piled on top of each other, others hooded and wired with electrodes. The photographs included images of a hooded prisoner with wires fixed to his body, nude inmates piled in a human pyramid – a lewd type of Karma Sutra circus where the performers were forced into simulating mass sexual techniques. The harrowing pictures also showed a dog savagely attacking a prisoner and other inmates being forced to masturbate or simulate sex with each other.

    The destruction of Iraq had been so meticulously planned, embracing every aspect that one of their main aims was to physically eliminate academics, professionals and other intellectuals from the society for generations to come. Around May 2003, there were reports that Israel's secret service Mossad arrived with a list of names and addresses of professionals such as university lecturers, professors, scientists, doctors, lawyers, engineers and other intellectuals, and went from house to house, killing them in their sleep. In many cases, they used sharp weapons to cut the throats of husbands in the presence of wives who were killed later.

    American forces looted museums and robbed more than 17,000 very valuable historic artefacts. They armed Shiites and Sunnis and provoked civil war. According to many reports, 2,000 doctors killed and 5,500 academics and intellectuals assassinated or imprisoned.

    Besides massacring innocent civilians, the US troops mercilessly slaughtered Iraqi soldiers who had surrendered, but unfortunately, for the world, no one will know exactly how many Iraqis perished in this carnage. They even burnt birth, marriage, death, land, company, industrial and vehicle registration offices and all other such places to create chaos.

    In Fallujah, a city of 300,000 people, the American forces dropped even cluster bombs and used phosphorous weapons that caused severe burns in the military's most intense urban fighting since the days of Vietnam. Within ten days Fallujah had been laid waste, a hell on earth of shattered bodies and destroyed buildings while the city entered history as the place where US imperialism carried out a crime of immense proportions. The head of Turkey's Parliamentary Human Rights Committee said this genocide surpassed those of Pharaoh, Hitler and Mussolini.

    An eyewitness account stated that US forces used artillery barrages, air strikes with 2,000-pound bombs and air-to-surface missiles together with volleys of tank fire. Homes, apartment buildings and nearly half of the city's 120 mosques have been destroyed or severely damaged. Human corpses, bloated and rotting, littering the streets where they fell were gnawed at by starving dogs while parents were forced to watch their wounded children die and then bury their bodies in their gardens. They not only shot women and old men in the streets but also shot anyone who tried to retrieve their bodies.

    Later reports emerged of the US military using banned napalm, poison gas and other outlawed weapons to kill innocent civilians. Hundreds of "melted" bodies proved that the napalm gas had been used. Residents said "Americans used everything – tanks, artillery, infantry, poisonous gas and other non-conventional weapons to raze Fallujah to the ground.

    They used these weird bombs that put up smoke like a mushroom cloud. Then small pieces fell from the air with long tails of smoke behind them. Pieces of these bombs exploded into large fires that burnt the skin even when water was thrown on the burns. Phosphorous weapons as well as napalm are known to cause such effects and people suffered so much from these.


    There has been nothing like the attack on Fallujah since the Nazi invasion and occupation of much of the European continent— the shelling and bombing of Warsaw in September 1939 and the terror bombing of Rotterdam in May 1940. All the talk about precision bombing in Iraq is dust thrown in the public's eyes.

    Bush dispatched harmless young American soldiers, with their full lives ahead of them, to kill Iraqis and in the process, around 4,500 Americans, were killed and around 30,000 young American men, some married with families, returned home maimed, burnt, mentally crippled and destined to suffer for the rest of their lives.

    Besides the pain of being physically disabled, the conscience of these young men, burning inside their minds, were also haunted by the ghosts of the innocent Iraqis they killed, tortured, maimed and raped. Haunted by the blood they spilled and all that they did and saw in Iraq – burnt out corpses of innocent Iraqis and their loved ones, screams of the suffering, cries of limbless children, weeping widows and fatherless daughters, they scream in sleepless nights in different corners of America.

    While they will have to live with this agony for the rest of their lives, what about the pathetic plight of the mothers, wives and children and other loved ones who need to put up with the agony of these young American men for the rest of their Lives?

    During this, darkest of dark hour the helpless Iraqis expected their Arab brothers to protect them. Instead, Egypt stood fully behind Bush and Blair while Saudi Arabia supplied the American troops with petrol and airport facilities to bomb the Iraqis.

    Today the entire Iraqi population remains traumatised and the obscene images of crimes cry out to the Heavens for vengeance.

    Iraq's infrastructure is in ruins. There is lawlessness everywhere with sectarian thugs and gangs funded by America and its puppet regime virtually running the show, driving terror among people already subjected to unbearable sufferings.

    Iraq today is a country of two million widows and five million orphans many of whom are homeless and living in streets. Almost a third of Iraq's children suffer from malnutrition. Some 70 per cent of Iraqi girls no longer go to school. Medical services, once the best in the region, do not meet minimum standards. There are an estimated 1.5 million widows in the country, 10 percent of Iraq's female population.

    The poverty rate has risen from 15 percent before the war and occupation to 55 percent today, with a quarter of the population living in extreme poverty. More than two and half million Iraqis, 20,000 of them doctors, are in refugee camps in neighbouring countries, four million Iraqis are refugees in their own country while more than half the population suffer from starvation. Iraqi society and infrastructure have been destroyed, drinking water polluted, power supply disrupted while schools, hospitals and other places are all in shambles.

    According to website Information Clearing House the number of people killed up to Monday 19 December 2011 include Iraqis "1,455,590″, and the U.S. Military Personnel Sacrificed (Officially acknowledged) In America's War On Iraq: 4,801.

    The often-raised question is: why has the international community, which prosecuted Slobodan Milosevic, and issued arrest warrant on Sudan's President Omar al Bashir for war crimes, not brought war crime charges against George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney and others for their crimes against humanity in Iraq?

    These are the great democracies and their elected leaders who preach human rights and blackmail smaller nations.

    This is what Bush described as "mission accomplished" and extraordinary achievement"? George Bush invaded Iraq to fulfill the 2500 year old Jewish dream to destroy Iraq. Who benefitted by this medieval style barbarity?

    Certainly not the innocent American people but Jewish lobbies, weapons industry, oil companies, banking and finance sector and other corporate conglomerates who constitute what is now being described as the ONE PERCENT of American society.

    The irony is that these crimes were committed with the shameful collaboration of Arab dictators in Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. It is this very same America preaching human rights and accusing others of war crimes.

    Israeli media outlets have recently highlighted the Saudi-Israeli communications on a number of intersecting interests in the region, facing Bandar-Mossadthe "American-Iranian convergence."

    Yediot Ahronot considered that these communications have reached the peak as Saudi Arabia and 'Israel' fear the Iranian nuclear program and are interested in fighting Hezbollah in Syria.

    Saudi Arabia will not abandon Syria for the sake of the United States and still possesses several painful means to pursue its war, Israeli analysts said.

    The Israeli circles said that there is a historical chance for Israeli to hold an alliance with Saudi Arabia.

    Speaker of the Chechen Parliament Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov said in an exclusive interview with Al-Manar Website that Syrian President Bashar Assad is defending the Syrian sovereignty, assuring that the Chechen government supports him.

    Chechen Parliament SpeakerAnswering a question about militants coming from around the Caucasus to fight in Syria, Abdurakhmanov said: "At the end of nineties, religious men from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and Libya came to Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan. We thought they know Islam that we can learn of them, but we realized they know nothing, and now we are witnessing a retrograde motion. Our citizens who couldn't be able to prove themselves in their homeland and have no religious or social position go to Syria to apply Islam! Islam, which came to us from Syria, a thousand years ago! The Wahhabism is 300 years old and not a thousand years!"

    "How dare they destroy the holy sites there and attack religious scholars," he said, adding that Chechen militants in Syria are a very small number and represent only themselves. The parliament speaker assured that they went to Syria seeking money and pride since they can't boast with their actions in their country, but assured that the government is making efforts to prevent the citizens from going there.

    "They [west] criticize and accuse us that we are defending a totalitarian regime in Syria. But Assad remains the President-elect and we have to defend and respect him for he defends the sovereignty of the Syrian people and the independence of Syria, so we support [Russian Foreign Minister Sergei] Lavrov," Abdurakhmanov said. "If they think we live in the Caucasus mountains and understand nothing, we tell them we have studied in the same universities in Cambridge and Oxford, we witnessed and got everything! We participated in the United Nations, the European Parliament and other boards and participated in the Islamic Cooperation Conference too."
